Play Paint Guide
Add a drop of two of water to the Play Paint. For longer wear time, you can use setting spray.
Let it sit for at least 20 seconds, then stir. It will become increasingly opaque and creamy with time and stirring. Once it has reached a melted ice cream consistency, and clings somewhat thickly to the brush, you are ready to go.
Application:
We designed a two-in-one brush that is perfect for Play Paint. ♡
However, you can use any brush or utensil to apply Play Paint! Get painterly with it. 🎨🖌 Unlike traditional liners, Play Paint can be applied with non-brush applicators, such as stamps! For example, to apply dots, you can use the rounded backs of pens or makeup brushes.
Mixing:
You can activate multiple Play Paints at once, then swirl your brush between them to mix up the dreamiest colors you've ever seen. You can create infinite color combinations! It's just like real paint - except cosmetic-grade and body-safe. Don't worry - with some gentle wiping, each Play Paint in the palette will be restored to its original color.
The Pro Makeup Artist way to activate or mix:
Use a sterile butter knife or makeup spatula to scoop out a small amount of Play Paint. Place it onto a sterile plate or artistry palette, then activate and/or mix colors together.
The Pro Makeup Artist method makes it easier (and tidier) to mix multiple colors together by keeping the original colors clean and distinct.
Hygiene:
Keep the top off of the palette and allow the liners to dry out completely before closing and storing.

Solutions: |
Liner is cracking. |
This is most often the result of layering multiple times. For optimal results, wait until Play Paint has dissolved into a thick, opaque, creamy consistency, then apply one even layer. |
Liner rubs off in the crease / gets lost on my hooded eyes. |
Keep your eyes open, your head level, your expression relaxed, gaze looking straight on. Pretend you are balancing a book on your head. That way, you can see what parts of your anatomy remain visible at all times. Try applying Play Paint above the crease. You can apply Play Paint on the cheeks, the temples, the nose bridge, above the brow, the body - anywhere! Experiment! We hope you feel empowered to get creative with it. ♡ |
Liner does not stay in the waterline. |
It's not supposed to! Play Paint is a water-activated liner. It is not intended to go in the waterline. Your waterline is wet and reactivates the liner, which will cause it to run off. |
I look too sexy in Play Paint. |
We are working on this! Stay strong. ♡ |
